Frequently Asked Questions

What is the scope of paranormal topics that PEIRS investigates and researches?

We have an interest in everything from ghosts and hauntings to cryptozoology to unidentified flying objects to even ancient astronaut theory.  If you are experiencing anything you believe to be paranormal, please contact us if you would like to request an investigation.

What are your thoughts on orbs?

We cannot stress enough that 'orbs' found in photos are almost never paranormal.  Simply put, orbs that manifest in photos, whether on film or digital, are  bits of foreign matter - dust, insects, moisture, etc.  These various particles are constantly present in any environment and are often invisible to the naked eye.  For further information regarding the natural explanation of orbs, please see the article, "Orbs: Debunked!" by Anthony Milhorn of the Southern States Paranormal Research Society.

How can I join your group?

We are not currently accepting new members, however, we love meeting new people who enjoy investigating and researching the paranormal.  We would still love to hear from you and if memberships become available in the future, we will certainly contact you.

Can I send you evidence I've collected for a second opinion?

Absolutely!  We will respond to your emails as quickly as we can.  Please understand that by submitting evidence to us, you are only asking for an objective opinion.  Since we were not present when your evidence was captured, we will not be able to verify whether or not your evidence is paranormal; we can only offer an opinion.   However, please do not send us photos taken from camera phones, as these photos are usually of poor quality and are easily manipulated.  Please do not send us photos of orbs.  We do not believe that orbs are paranormal and will not evaluate any orb photos.

Do you use Ouija boards?

Absolutely not.  We strongly recommend that you don't either.
